ADiRA (AI for Digital Readiness & Advancement) is an initiative led by DataLEADS to train healthcare and media professionals across India with practical AI skills. It aims to enhance efficiency, productivity, and informed decision-making in these sectors. The programme is supported by the AI Opportunity Fund: Asia Pacific in collaboration with AVPN and supported by Google.org & Asian Development Bank.

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming every sector. ADiRA ensures professionals in media and health are not left behind. Through this initiative, participants gain real-world AI knowledge to help them understand, navigate, and responsibly implement AI at work.

As it continues to transform our society, it is essential for workers to be equipped with the skills needed to harness its full potential effectively.

The ToT programme is open to:

  • Healthcare professionals like doctors, public health specialists, medical educators, medical technicians, researchers and pharmacists.
  • Media professionals like journalists, media educators, community radio specialists, and teachers.

Absolutely. You don’t need a technical background to understand or use AI. ADiRA focuses on practical, easy-to-understand applications that anyone can use in their daily work.

The training includes

  • AI Basics – Intro to Artificial Intelligence and its impact across industries
  • Generative AI & Prompting – Content generation and mastering prompt techniques
  • AI Tools & Applications – Hands-on use of AI tools for media and content work
  • AI Ethics & Risk – Navigating misinformation, bias, and responsible AI use
  • Real-World Use Cases – Examples of how AI is being used in journalism and storytelling

 No. The programme is free of cost for selected trainers and participants including training, materials, mentorship, and support.

Participants can choose one of the following options: In-Person ToT ( Delhi – NCR ):
  • 25–26 June 2025 (Wed–Thu) (Full-day sessions; travel and accommodation provided to the outstation participants)
Virtual ToT:
  • 22–26 July 2025 (2-hour sessions daily for 5 days)

Fill and submit the application form by 25th May 2025.

  • If you’d like to host a training at your media house, journalism school, press club, or news institute, just fill out the Host a Training Form
  • If you’d like to host a training at your Medical Institute, just fill out the Host a Training Form.The DataLEADS team will review your request and get in touch to coordinate logistics.

Only shortlisted candidates will be notified via email by the DataLEADS team.
